Healing After Trauma: Inside Our PMRC Approach
Our PTSD Management and Rehabilitation Centre supports survivors through structured, trauma-informed care built around dignity and pace.
Trauma does not only live in memory. It lives in sleep, in startle, in the way a room can suddenly feel unsafe.
The PTSD Management and Rehabilitation Centre (PMRC) was built so survivors in Bangladesh do not have to recover in isolation, or on a timetable that is not theirs.
Dignity first
Care here is trauma-informed. That means we assume people are doing the best they can with the history they carry. Sessions move at a pace the person can hold. Nothing is forced for the sake of a programme calendar.
What support can include
- A steady, private space to talk
- Help making sense of flashbacks, numbness, or shame
- Practical tools for sleep, panic, and everyday safety
- Family conversations when the person wants them
Healing is not a straight line. Some weeks feel like progress. Some weeks feel like going back. Both belong.
If you or someone you love is carrying trauma, you can reach us through the contact page. You do not need the right words. You only need a beginning.
